  • Justin Jean Claude White, better known as Jean Claude was born in Los Angeles, California to a mother
  • of Guyanese decent. Jean Claude was constantly around culturally stimulating music, art, and literature.
  • This exposure eventually lead to the discovery of his vocal talents as a child singer and pianist beginning
  • at the age of four.
  • Jean Claude was raised with great emphasis on the importance of education.Not only did he excel in his
  • studies while attending John F. Kennedy high school in La Palma, California, he graced the school choir
  • with his unique vocal range earning him the position of President and graduated with honors at the early
  • age of sixteen.
  • His gregarious personality, confidence, and infectious humor donned him the title of Mr.
  • Kennedy. With a fixed focus on continuing his education, Jean Claude decided to move to London after
  • receiving an acceptance to the London Metropolitan University. He was enamored with the culture and
  • ambiance of London finding himself struck with immense creativity. While pursuing his studies in
  • Business/Marketing, he immersed himself into London’s music and fashion scene.
  • Jean Claude returned to the US with visions of sharing his talents and interpretations of the European
  • Underground. Soon he found himself as a web contributor for Moheak Radio Los Angeles/Goldenvoice
  • and intern at KCRW. Jean Claude Tribe came to be as a representation of him as a musician (triangle),
  • visual artist (circle), and designer (diamond).
  • In early 2012 Jean Claude arrived to the music scene
  • releasing a collaborative EP with Space music producers 3RD Kingdom called ‘Intergalactic’. His drive
  • for success served as a catalyst for creating an arena to showcase his multifaceted view of the arts. He
  • stretched his talents further into the social realm and began to host parties paving a way to network with
  • others involved in the industry. Jean Claude’s unparalleled talents spilled onto the fashion scene after
  • debuting his wearable art.
  • His formal white button up with the hand painted word “SEX” was noticed after
  • he wore it to many locations ranging from parties to the local grocery store. Jean Claude’s edgy and bold
  • sense of self translated into his fashion which resulted in an invite to Los Angeles Fashion Week 2012 .
  • During fashion week, Jean Claude had the honor of meeting LA based fashion photographer Josef Jasso.
  • Jean Claude’s unique look gave Jasso the inspiration to began photographing him in exquisite and highly
  • extravagant clothing. Jasso is largely credited in aiding Jean Claude’s modeling career and notoriety.
  • Soon after his infamous “SEX” button up was worn by Stevie Boi (designer of SB Shades) at the Lincoln
  • Center during New York Fashion Week, causing a paparazzi frenzy! The shirt was again seen on Jeffree
  • Star while shooting Annex Magazine’s Diane Issue, and EMI’s Grecian pop-star Ilia Darlin. Jean Claude
  • continued to ride this unexpected fashion wave when asked to style Rick Genest aka Zombie Boy and
  • attend a red carpet premiere with him. In March of 2013, Jean Claude walked for Stevie Boi in his SB
  • Shades F/W “Leather” Presentation, opening the flood gates for more opportunities.
  • He since then has been featured in Juke Magazine, VSSL Magazine, GVSB Hong Kong, Brooklyn Treasury, Perry & PrintUp New York, 12345 Clothing, Dirk Mai.com, Lolitabandita.co, Osklen, Lær Brand, Won Hundred
  • Clothing, Toni&Guy, and recently became the new face of Paris’ French-punk brand Enfants riches
  • Deprimes (credits Vogue Japan, Vogue UK). Jean Claude is currently planning his first official Jean Claude Tribe showcase.
  • The highly anticipated Jean Claude Tribe presentation will feature Jean Claude’s first collection as a designer, work
  • as a visual artist, and a live performance.
